Everything your $199 a month covers, itemised.

Most business owners only discover what their website maintenance cost actually includes at the moment something breaks. So here is the full list up front, written out plainly, before you've paid us a cent. It's the same $199 whether you run one of the trades we build for or a local business anywhere across Melbourne.

What is not included

The things $199 a month does not cover.

We would much rather tell you this now than surprise you with an invoice later. None of the following sits inside the Care Plan, and none of it ever happens without you asking for it and agreeing to a price first.

✕New pages and full redesigns
•Editing what's already on your site is unlimited and free. Adding a brand-new page, or rebuilding the site from scratch, is quoted separately.
•You'll always get a fixed price in writing before we start, never an hourly meter.
✕Custom features and functionality
•Online bookings, e-commerce, customer logins and anything similar sit outside the standard build.
•That's what Made to Order is for — it's quoted individually, based on what the work actually involves.
✕Registering a domain for you
•Connecting a domain you already own costs nothing. If you don't have one, we can register it for $35 per year.
•It goes in your name and under your ABN, so you own it from day one.
✕Advertising and third-party subscriptions
•Google Ads, Meta Ads and any other paid advertising spend is yours to run and pay for directly.
•The same goes for any outside service you choose to plug in, such as a booking tool or an email marketing platform.

Owning the code

You can buy the code outright for a flat $1,800, from day one.

Your domain and your content are always yours, full stop. The website code — the HTML, CSS and JavaScript files that make up the site — stays ours for as long as you're on the Care Plan. That's the trade that lets us build the thing for free in the first place.

If you ever want to take it elsewhere, you can. The buyout is a flat $1,800, and it is available at any time during your subscription. There is no minimum tenure, no sliding scale and no waiting period: the price is the same in your first month as it is in your fifth year.

Purchasing the code transfers ownership of the codebase to you. After purchase, you may self-host or engage another developer. Made to Order builds are quoted individually, reflecting the custom functionality involved.

Worth knowing: the buyout doesn't happen automatically when you cancel. If you decide you want the code after cancelling, you have 30 days from the date your subscription ends to ask for it. The full detail lives in section 9.3 of our Terms.

Cancelling

There's no lock-in, and leaving takes one email.

You're month to month from day one. There is no 12-month term, no exit fee and nothing to buy your way out of. To cancel, send a written request to [email protected] — email is the required method, so there's a record of it on both sides.

The notice period is 30 days from the date your cancellation email is received. Your site stays live for the whole of that period, and your content updates carry on as normal — we don't down tools the moment you tell us you're going.

At the end of the 30 days your subscription ends, your website is taken offline and your hosting is terminated. Your domain name remains yours and is transferred to your direct control within 5 business days.

If you want to keep the site itself, you have 30 days from the end of your subscription to request the code buyout. On day 31 the code, files and associated data are permanently deleted, and that deletion can't be undone — so if there's any chance you'll want it, tell us before then.

Is it really free?+
The build is genuinely free — no setup fee, no deposit, no card details. The Care Plan (hosting, updates, upkeep) is $199/month, and it only starts when your site goes live.
Do I pay anything before the site is live?+
No. There's no setup fee, no deposit and no card details taken upfront. Your first Care Plan payment is processed on the date your site goes live, and it renews on that same date each month until you cancel.
Is there GST on top?+
No. $199 a month is the whole price.
What counts as an update?+
Changing text, prices, photos, services, testimonials — unlimited, included, turned around in 3–5 business days. New pages, redesigns and custom features are quoted separately.
Am I locked into a contract?+
No. Month to month from day one, cancel anytime with 30 days notice. Watch out for "free website" offers that need a 12-month contract — that's not free, that's a lease with a smile.
Does the price go up after the first year?+
There's no automatic annual increase built into your plan. If we ever do adjust subscription pricing, we give you 30 days written notice first, and you're free to cancel within that window under the standard cancellation terms if you'd rather not continue at the new rate.
Do I own the website?+
Your domain and your content are always yours, full stop. The site code stays ours while you're on the Care Plan — that's how we keep the build free — and if you ever want to take it elsewhere, you can buy it outright for a flat $1,800, anytime.
What happens if I cancel?+
Your site stays live through your 30-day notice, your domain goes with you, and you've got 30 days after that to buy the code if you want it.
I don't have a domain name.+
We'll register one for you ($35/year) — in your name, so it's yours from day one. Already got one? We'll connect it, no charge.
What is not covered by the $199 a month?+
New pages, full redesigns and custom features like online bookings or a shop sit outside the Care Plan and are quoted separately before any work starts. Domain registration is $35 a year if you need us to register one for you. Everything else listed on this page is included.
